Stop worrying about what others think of you!!!!
Benjamin Franklin….What a weirdo!
I’m not sure how many of y’all paid attention in history class, but Benjamin Franklin discovered electricity wayyyy back in 1752. With a KITE! He tied a metal key to a kite, held it up to the sky during a thunderstorm, and wam bam thank you ma’am, electricity was discovered. Could you imagine how many people probably looked at him like he had ten heads and called him a super weirdo??? I’m sure tons of people thought he was totally out of his mind, but had he listened, we’d all be living in the dark. Everyone has weirdness to them. It’s just a matter of whether or not you let others opinions of your weirdness effect you.
For a long time, I held off doing anything blog-like because I was so worried others would read it and think I was weird or that what I was saying was stupid. And then I thought to myself, what if it’s not weird and people really benefit from it? What if I’m really good at this whole blog thing and it’s my long lost passion that I’ve been holding out on? If not now, then when? The thing about today’s day and age is that we worry so much about what others think instead of just going after it. What if you have this super cool idea for something, but instead of trying it out, you cower down to others opinions and miss out on the thrill of a lifetime? Can you imagine if you went after your dreams and crushed them and all the haters sat there thinking “gee, wish I could do something that awesome and love life as much as they do!”? Talk about proving the haters wrong!
Stop worrying about what others think of you!!!! If you let them control your actions based on their judgements, they are in control of your life. And if you ask me, that’s a huge waste of the person you were born to become. Also, if you’re being someone that is doing the judging, you’re in the wrong too. Let people do their thing while you do yours. If someone hated on your love for meatloaf, would you deprive yourself of your favorite home-cooked meal? Absolutely not! So don’t let others opinions of your dreams keep you from fighting for them. You deserve to live a life you love, and if that makes you a weirdo, then so be it!
